West Zhejiang Agro-Tech Industry Park is a public development by the Qujiang District of Quzhou City, a rising industry and business spotlight in the Zhejiang province in eastern China. By providing 132,000銕� of headquarter, rental office, government-subsidized housing, and community retail spaces, the project aspires to be the new engine to Qujiang鈥檚 industrial and economic growth.



Drawing inspiration from the mountainous natural landscape in Qujiang, the project design lends itself as an analogue to mountains and clouds with its clean, geometric forms of staggering towers and cascading platforms. The three towers, together with an adjacent existing District Youth Center building, form a grand, symmetrical composition framing the entry from the eastern residential zone to the western Dongfang Park, completing the park鈥檚 role as the central axis of leisure and amenity spaces overlooked by the District Government building to its north.



The Industry Park鈥檚 podium, housing its retail, F&B, and community programs, defies the opaque monolithic stereotype of conventional retail podiums by unfolding itself into a series of cascading, interconnected occupiable platforms. The horizontal expanse contrast with the verticality of the three towers, while uniting them to provide for outdoor civic activities. An elevated exhibition space, nicknamed 鈥淐loud Deck鈥�, floats at the project鈥檚 center to frame the project鈥檚 focal point. The Cloud Deck functions as the living room of the city and overlooks the outdoor theatre underneath with its circular, 360-degree gallery.



The project has been awarded through a public competition and is currently in the process of planning approval acquisition.
