Eternal Grove represents an innovative architectural design that synthesizes traditional remembrance values with contemporary creative concepts, aiming to address various challenges posed by urbanization, including land resource limitations, the erosion of cultural heritage, and the need for integrated remembrance spaces. This project employs creative spiral geometric form and vertical storage technologies, which enhance land utilization efficiency and transform conventional memorial practices by incorporating technological elements, such as QR code tombstones.
The overarching design philosophy prioritizes sustainability by utilizing a range of environmentally friendly materials, including Low-E Glass and renewable wood, to ensure structural integrity and minimize ecological impact. The interior layout is meticulously conceived, comprising functional zones dedicated to memorialization, public engagement, education, and ecological experiences. Each area is designed to accommodate the diverse needs of visitors, thus offering a comprehensive platform for education, reflection, and cultural exchange. Furthermore, the intelligent monitoring system, accessibility features, and user-centred flow design ensure the safety and convenience of all visitors. Eternal Grove transcends the role of a mere remembrance site; it serves as a bridge between the past and future while fostering the preservation of traditional culture. Also, it underscores its value as both a green building and essential social infrastructure.
