鈥淒e Bord en bord鈥, meaning "from edge to edge" in French, is a waterfront redevelopment proposal published in Harvard Urban Design Magazine, as a response to the National Capital Commission of Quebec's development vision of the St. Lawrence River. This redevelopment unfolds along the shoreline of the Saint Lawrence River in the northeastern reaches of Quebec City. 鈥淒e Bord en Bord鈥 is an investigation of urban design approaches aimed at transcending artificial borders鈥攖he imposing Autoroute Dufferin-Montmorency (highway) and Boulevard Sainte-Anne (major traffic road)鈥攁long the river鈥檚 meandering shoreline. It showcases a process of identifying the primary borders of a specific site and enhancing the area鈥檚 permeability by engaging with these borders and reimagining the spaces they delineate.
