Nestled within the oak-covered mountains of Ajloun, Jordan
this resort is a refined architectural response to the region鈥檚 most enduring natural symbol the oak tree. Inspired by the elegant structure of the oak leaf, the design translates botanical form into built expression, with overlapping, leaf-shaped wings that flow organically across the topography. Each tier is topped with vegetated roofs that function as ecological systems enhancing thermal performance, retaining rainwater, and fostering biodiversity.
The material palette of textured stone, natural wood, and earth-toned finishes reinforces the visual integration with the landscape, allowing the resort to recede into its forested context. Guests arrive to main entrance via a curved approach road that opens onto a landscaped forecourt rich with native planting and aromatic herbs.
Within, expansive suites offer uninterrupted views through floor to ceiling glazing, creating a sense of immersion in the treetops. Wellness amenities including an open-air yoga deck, a spa rooted in local stonework, and the fitness center are strategically positioned to foster serenity and connection with nature. A curvilinear pool mirrors the building鈥檚 geometry, dissolving into the surrounding greenery, while a palm-frond pavilion reinterprets Jordanian vernacular architecture within a contemporary luxury framework.
the design is a sanctuary an architectural narrative of place, ecology, and elevated experience. and tells the story of a tree that defines a region, of a mountain that shelters generations, and of a future where architecture acts as a bridge between humanity and nature.
